I was recently invited to speak on The Grapevine on 3RRR about knitting and the current anti-racism movement in this space.

To my friends, both knitters and non knitters, I would really love it if you could listen to this interview to get a grasp on why I have been “confronting and affronting” racism and white fragility this year. I realise I talked about things and experiences I’ve carried for a long time, and I hope this interview provides some context and clarity for where I am coming from as well as what informs my work as a curator and writer.

While I speak in particular to events in the online knitting community, the things I discuss are much bigger than any single community. Being apolitical is not enough, we must be actively anti-racist.
